Receiving Financial Aid

After the financial aid application process is completed (FAFSA, SAR, and verification), the following steps must be done:

• Step 1: Respond to Financial Aid Award
• Step 2: Undergo loan processing (if applicable)
• Step 3: Receive Financial Aid

Once the student has accepted/declined Financial Aid on TitanWeb (see Step 1 above) and the student completed loan processing (if applicable), it takes approximately three (3) weeks to order your financial aid funds. The aid will be disbursed electronically to a student's account at UW-Oshkosh a few days before the beginning of the semester or, if your award was processed later in the semester, as soon as the funds become available. Your aid will be disbursed in equal amounts before each semester. The financial aid information can be viewed and accepted/declined on the student's TitanWeb account.

To view, accept, or decline financial aid:

1. Log-on to TitanWeb
2. Click on Finances link
3. Click on links in the Financial Aid section to view and accept/decline your aid
4. Choose the appropriate academic term

To view student tuition charges, fees, payment activity, and financial aid disbursement:

1. Log-on to TitanWeb
2. Click on Finances link
3. Click on Account Summary link under Account section
4. Choose the appropriate academic term
5. Click on View Account Detail link for account activity (including financial aid disbursement) information
